    Are you using Outlook and you’ve noticed its beginning to slow or just having errors, you should probably scan and repair your Personal Folders file for any problems. It’s like check disk in windows but its for your email.

    To repair your PST file, you’ll have to open the Scanpst.exe utility that’s included by default with Outlook. The only problem is that there’s no shortcut to it, so you’ll have to find it in the Outlook folder. (more…)

    If you use Time Machine in Leopard, then transferring your stuff to a new Mac might be a bit simpler than you thought. With Migration Assistant, you can easily transfer Applications, Documents, Settings, and more. In this Mac 101, we’re going to show you how it’s done, and how you can do it yourself!

    1. Make sure you have a recent backup
    Make sure you have a recent Time Machine backup on the machine you wish to transfer your information from. To check, go to System Preferences (Apple menu) > Time Machine. If you see a recent backup, then you’re set; if not, click “show Time Machine status in the menu bar.” In the resulting menu bar item, click “Back up now.” Time Machine will make a new backup.

    After the launch of Windows 7, which is more look like vista with xp performance and has mac view as an adding point, installing Windows 7 inside Mac which is known for working environment are pretty challenging.

    Although Intel Macs can run Windows 7 in Boot Camp, for most users, the easiest and most hassle-free method will be to use virtualization. This way, you can test out all the features of Windows 7, without having to dual-boot. The big pitfall for virtualization: gaming and HD-video playback, are less an issue in Windows 7 because those areas are still being tweaked and aren’t ready for prime time anyway. (more…)
